tourists are assassinated in Aleg, in the South of Mauritania. They had stopped at the
edge of a road to lunch. Only one wounded person could be repatriated in France.
This attack caused the cancellation of the car race Paris-Dakar which had began
for the beginning of January 2008, several stages having to take place in Mauritania.
Murderers belong to an extremist group of islamists.
